rising action

as life has it's constant run of dramatic structure, which are falls under: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and denouement (resolution).

this week has got to be a major rising action for me. and as not to spoil the climax, i am not withholding any information on this, lol, as if.

but really, everything's really exciting for me lately. so keep your finger's crossed with me, will ya? :P

so why blog about it?? just releasing happy hormones to everyone. i hope you're all excited for something, as i am :)

things change.

people change.

but the hardest thing about change is when it happens to a loved one (family, friend, partner) and it leaves you out.

you are placed in a position whether to accept the change or deviate from it. meaning you either keep or loose the relationship. either way, you can't expect things to be like as before. largely because you are dealing with a completely different version of that person already.

adding insult to injury, you don't know why it happened (or sometimes you do, but you can't believe/accept it) and worst, what you can do about it. and the hardest choice probably is to do nothing and just to let it go.

but, in the end it boils down to never forgetting what you've been through and continuously praying that the future will be brighter for the both of you, whether you will spend it together or not.

well thanks to toni, i was reminded that i had this blog and all the fame it brought me, lol. as if?!
but really, being published in a 6x5inch portion of a magazine is something right?! double lol

anyway, so here's a brief update on my oh so twisted life.

so i've been travelling.

In January, i went to Cebu with my party girls aka college friends aka of-course-its-more-fun-with-alcohol group :P for the Sinulog Festival which was really crazy crazy fun.
we got to try the island banca cruise, sky adventure @ crown hotel and of course, night-outs cebu style. we didn't miss to take photo ops at historical sites and tourist spots and even managed to do a lil shopping in between.

In February, Mum and I were living in Tagaytay for more than two weeks coz mum was assigned in Amadeo. We got to jog in the morning, enjoy the breeze, attend mass in the afternoon and the fun part, check out hotels and try different restaurants in Tagaytay. I was able to invite my good friend, Joy, to spend a couple of days with us. While mum reported for work, we drove around and had coffee. We felt as if we weren't in the Philippines coz weather during this time was simply nice. Cold but not raining.

My summer was indeed productive as well. Good thing my aunt and cousin decided to come over for the summer so we were 'obliged' to take them around. A good excuse to roadtrip and spend a lil if you ask me ;) We were able to go for a swim in Matabungkay, Batangas. Join in the festivities of the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon. I finally even got to enter Manila Ocean Park (coz you know I wouldn't if i had to pay for it myself).

the highlight of my summer was probably BORACAY (oo naman!) lol.

it was my first time in the island and it didn't disappoint me that much. haha. well, coz people were saying that it's not as beautiful as before, but point is, it is beautiful!

Now, i could disprove those who would say that they have beaches/sands like Boracay. coz believe me, it’s not like any other. The sand of course was number one. It was so fine, it’s like lying in satin cloth. I love how the sun doesn’t get too hot even if the sun was scorching. And when you are in Boracay, you will forget you’re in the Visayas coz most of the people were either speaking in English or Tagalog already. Yep, I confirm it, it may have persuaded me to make it a summer must do to go there every year. I understand now why my friends keep on going back though it seems like they just do the same things over and over. You will really party like no other, party til you drop, party til the sun is up and whatever else party quotes you know. you can do it in Boracay. Our only wish was that we stayed longer or we never go home. :P

And to cap off my summer and welcome the rainy days, well, actually to celebrate my mum and bro’s birthday, we did our usual (haha, as if. Well it’s the second time we did it. Maybe we can make it a yearly thing.*fingers-crossed*) two-city tour. We went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia first then Singapore. One of the highlights of this trip was riding Singapore Airlines, they say one of the best in the world, and i must concur. although running thru Changi Airport was exhausting because our flight got delayed, no thanks to the rain.

So yep, we went around Kuala Lumpur and maybe around 3-4 times if i may say so, coz we were in a hop-on hop-off bus, which was pretty cool. Just for 38MR it's a 24hour pass to see the sites, the bus will stop at every spot and you can get off and catch the next bus after 30-40mins., if u still wanna look around and take more pictures. The walking, running, 'hopping on and off' was worth it coz we really got a good hotel. Pacific Regency Hotel & Suites - just across the KL tower. so taxi and restaurants were not a problem. We even spent a day in Genting Highlands (Resorts World), although I wasn't impressed with the place. The rides were not well-maintained even scary/do not look safe at times. There located too was First World Hotel, one of the biggest hotels in the world with 6000+ rooms. plus, we just had to try the cable car, one of the longest in Asia. Mum enjoyed the trip most coz of the wide selection of non-pork items. That's why when we got to Singapore, i just had to have some roasted pork from a chinese resto. hihi.

Though it's not my first time in SG, I really looked forward to try out the Singapore Flyer and visiting Universal Studios. although I'm a big coward, I still manage to convince myself to do things I may never do ever in my life again. So, my bro and I tried the different rides, including yep, Battlestar Galactica. I was totally shaking after the ride I could only try the 'Human' part. the 'Cylon' - feet hanging roller coaster, may just be too much for me. But maybe if my friends were there and they convinced me, I might have tried it. coz soul-displacing rides are just awesome, lol.

anyway, my biggest issue with SG was that the exchange rate was almost 1:1 with US dollar. gosh?! that's why shopping there is still costly. I think we should really try Thailand next year, hopefully by that time too I have more savings to spend. :P

speaking of savings, (haha, just to cut it short) I'm finally in the position to save again. yay! yep, started work last week. academic, non-teaching job for a all-girls school in Alabang. :)

Somehow, I really had doubts if I wanted to teach but I was definite that I was more comfortable if I worked in a school setting. So here I am, maybe in a year I could start my MA, or not. We'll see. I just enjoy being in a position with lot's of options. Let's see where this leads me. :)

I know, school means, less free time/time for travels and strict policies. But i guess, God gave me plenty of time to be lazy, do whatever I want and waste time already. So it's my time to really think about my future. After all, I've already survived one 'end of the world' (may 21) and they say another one is on it's way on Oct. 15, so let's see what will happen to that! lol :P

waddup!! so i read this article that because of the emergence of facebook and twitter, blogging has become less of a habit. and i couldn't agree more, hello?! one post a year?! sorry... haha.

anyway, let me get to out updates - let me finish 2010. first up, fo my 22nd birthday, i went to HK disneyland and Macau with mum and bro. around this time too, a malignant sarcoma was found on mum's left thigh, so we've been frequenting hospitals lately co of her chemotherapy. :S but all's getting better, i know we'll make this through...

for the latter part of 2010, my tita convinced me to look over her business in Batangas. the job was not entirely easy but not as stressful, and with a good pay, i took it. but because of the travel of almost 6 hours (i go there 3 times a week), mum asked me to quit. on the last week of my work there, i went out to buy a book since i felt i needed a new good read, and i stumbled upon a bridal supplies list which gave me a great idea.

since i have been arranging wedding unofficially this past years, and my uncle was getting married too, i decided to start formulating a business on wedding planning, and that's what keeping me up nowadays. i have these crazy plans and adventures too which i have to coordinate from time to time. so basically, i'm free and flexible nowadays, u can invite me to the moon and ill be there with my tote bag. :P

i hope everyone's having a blast like me. this is really living life to the fullest! just hope i don't end up broke anytime soon. :P
