tagay!

last august 27, saturday, when all of my high school is celebrating, the alumni homecoming, (elizabeth seton school is on it's 30th year!), i was with my family (father's side clan!) hehe, in quezon city, it was my uncle and cousin's birthday celebration, it was also like a reunion, for we weren't really seeing each other for some time now.

anyway, of course there were lots of food and booze! hehe...it was my first time to drink red horse, and so i became tipsy... good thing! there was a karaoke! (a good way to release those "amats!") and a band, composed of my cousin and some of his friends... i also met some new people (cousin's friends and classmates), so i might say it was a really fun party!!! hehe...
august 28 (late afternoon), we went to somewhere in quezon city (again!), different party though... there was a dance instructor, and everybody was dancing ballroom!hehe, thanx to p.e. class, it was okie for me to adjust, though their steps werefar more complex than what we have in p.e., but all in all it was lot of fun too!hehe... around 1, we decided to call it a night, of course, we had to sing some songs from the karaoke (again!), before we can go. everyone was surprised, even i myself, when i belt out a really high tone, in the "back at one" song, i was actually, helping outmy brother, but he left me, anyways, it was my shining moment! hehe! ; )

cont...

at last!
after two hours! we arrived at our destination!

we had lunch at Leslie's and then took a little walk to Taal Vista Hotel.
damn! it was soo hot! manila is much colder pa nga! and then we realized just how much we spent! hehe.

the food was alright, the gas, the toll, and even the parking (taal vista) was too much!
but it was ok, coz we had fun. and had time to tease everyone, especially vic and via. hehe.

then we went home, actually... some of us, (me, vic, via, mika, migs) went to erbin's place.
we watched shutter, a really scray movie. hehe! the guys can't even stop screaming! hehe.

gosh, a really fun but tiring day too!!!

gosh! it was like 10 in the morning, after our 20 mins. "FINAL TEST" for theself, we decided to drive off to somewhere! hehe.
its nice to go some place that we can have lunch! hehe.
tagaytay is like an hour drive from manila (taft), it was quite traffic though.

we even fooled around the expressway... throwing pieces of papers to the other car.
tsk tsk... we even got too close, good thing we had great drivers! hehe.

aldrich's car: aldrich(of course!), jacq, me, gab and soci!
erbin's car: erbin, mika, migs, vic and via!

FEU won by a point, sayang!
well, at least they had a hard time bringing home the bacon. hehe.
the feeling is soo much different, when your really there and you see every angle.
we had nice seats too, juz above the la salle players.
a really exciting first game for me, i think i was standing half of the time. hehe.
i hope i can watch more live UAAP games.

dejavu.

Brainworks result:

RLYNN, you exhibit an even balance between left- and right- hemisphere dominance and a slight preference for visual over auditory processing. With a score this balanced, it is likely that you would have slightly different results each time you complete this self-assessment quiz.
Note: quiet true! Coz the last time I answered this, (see june 14, 2005 input) got super balanced between the right and left hemisphere and the visual and auditory, hehe!

You are a well-rounded person, distinctly individualistic and artistic, an active and multidimensional learner. At the same time, you are logical and disciplined, can operate well within an organization, and are sensitive towards others without losing objectivity. You are organized and goal-oriented. Although a “thinking” individual, you “take in” entire situations readily and can act on intuition.
Note: nice… good stuff… and mostly true…

You sometimes tend to vacillate in your learning styles. Learning might take you longer than someone of equal intellect, but you will tend to be more thorough and retain the material longer than those other individuals. You will alternate between logic and impulse. This vacillation will not normally be intentional or deliberate, so you may experience anxiety in situations where you are not certain which part of yourself will be called on.
Note: ok… ok… cognitive stuff…

With a slight preference for visual processing you tend to be encompassing your perception, process along multidimensional patterns and be active in your attacking of situations.

Over all, you should feel content with your life and yourself. You are perhaps a little too critical of yourself-and of others-while maintaining an “openness” which tempers that feeling.

Indecisiveness is a problem and your creativity may not be in keeping with your potential. Being pragmatist, you downplay this aspect of yourself and focus on the more, immediate obvious and the more functional.
Note: so true!!! This results, for me, is the most valid, out of all the test I have taken. Hehe! ; )

karma

that's one word i have to say.

Whew! What a day! Well, what’s with today?! Damn. Yah. Ok. I lost my cell phone. So what?! Ok. I admit it. It hurts. I don’t want to retell what happened. There’s really nothing I can do about it, right?! Actually it’s not the phone. It’s the memories. I always say “everything happens for a reason. I just hope I see that reason soon. I just look at it as a detachment (term from Tuesdays with Morrie). Detachment from material things. Well. I’m still alive. I should be happy.

In school we watched the documentary film BUNSO (“the youngest”) by Ditsi Carolino, it was a very good movie. I began to appreciate what I have and of course, be thankful. I almost believed that people are really good they are just forced to do things for them to survive. But then, when “the event” happened, I really realized that this is a mean world. And you should prepare yourself for what may happen. For people may be good, but circumstances are not.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

a really nice film, especially for kids...

would really discourage bad values and emphasized the importance of family.

i remembered FREUD (so much for pysch classes!), and his view on how your past,

especially childhood affects who we are in the present, and that was highly evident in the film.

the visuals were really nice...

the oompaloompas, which were really funny (as in!), had nice suits!!! hehe!

gosh! who would not love to see all those chocolates! (yum!)

4 stars for the very imaginative writer and director (tim burton)...

of course, johnny depp! did a pretty good job too, and the kid who played charlie...

i wish my kids, someday, would see this film too!

; )

Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka, the amazing chocolatier
Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka, everybody give a cheer
He's modest, clever, and so smart, he barely can explain it
With so much generosity, there is no way to contain it, to contain it, to contain.... to contain... to contain...
Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka, he's a genius who just can't be beat
The magician and a chocolate wiz, he's the best darn guy you'll ever meet
Willy Wonka, here he is!

Willy Wonka: I feel terrible. What makes you feel better when you're feeling down?
Charlie Bucket: My family.
Willy Wonka: [shudders] Ew.

what's new?!

gosh! it's already august...
56 days to go before my birthday! (yehey!)
the first week of august is soo much fun!
for two consecutive days (yesterday and today!),
i watched two movies (haha!)...

haha! im enjoying doin my rounds in the metro,
